How can we go the extra mile to let my donors know how much their support means to our organization?

After 20-plus years in the business, I still haven’t found a more effective tool for making donors feel appreciated. I recommend doing this two ways. One is sending a separate note of thanks. The other is adding handwritten notes to regular correspondence. It takes more time, it’s very low tech, but it’s very effective, especially in the days of so much being done via email.
